About Michelle
Choosing to step into adventure, danger and excitement surround me, and the gifts are beyond imagination. My world expands. I learn to overcome fears, challenge the well worn stories, and open my heart to the world. Traveling to mysterious and exotic places, undergoing rigorous training, rollerskating with my granddaughters and quietly being at home by myself challenge my perceived limits, while bringing me closer to my true self. By nature, I am a listener and observer which helps others to feel safe with me when exploring difficult topics. Throughout my life, I have been interested in the complexity of relationships, creativity, and self expression as part of a deeper spiritual journey, mixing them into everything I do.
A passion for the wider world and our interrelationships led me to earn my degree in Environmental Studies. My desire for deep connection motivated me to invest wholeheartedly into my family. From there, I was determined to try to understand human interaction and all of its complexity within a spiritual context, leading me to earn my Masters of Counseling Degree from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology. Movement, music, art and writing have been necessary allies along my journey. I have received training in art therapy, meditation, mindfulness, trauma informed yoga and am a certified yoga teacher. I have studied somatic awareness and a range of spiritual disciplines.
Working collaboratively with clients, we build a healing connection based on knowledge, experience and intuition developed through body awareness, creativity and spiritual practice.
